Thank you for your interest in our lumber. Groff and Groff Lumber is a specialty company with a large supply of kiln-dried, premium domestic hardwoods which include, black walnut (unsteamed), cherry, maple, butternut, oaks, paulownia, ash, beech, sassafras, curly (figured) cherry, tiger maple, birds-eye maple, 1/4 sawn white and red oak, sycamore, cherry maple, and many other lumbers. We also stock a number of imported and exotic lumbers, such as figured mahogany, genuine mahogany, padouk, etc. Much of our lumber is available in flitch matched and live edged material with some reaching 40"+. Our newest items are big leaf maple burls and lumber. These are perfect for inlays, table tops.

Groff and Groff starts its operation in the forests and woodlots. We have our timber harvested, practicing sound forest management and conservation techniques such as select cutting and topping. We then process most of our lumber at our facility at 858 Scotland Road, Quarryville, Pennsylvania 17566. Using a 44 inch custom made band saw mill, slow air drying, and dehumidification kilns, we carefully produce the finest domestic lumber in the country.

Walnut, cherry and figured maples are our specialties. We try to stock a wide variety of each in both the usual dimensions (4/4-16/4), one of a kind pieces, and highly figured material, especially figured cherry. Some of these are 20 to 30+ inches wide and come from 200 year old trees! We always have many slab cuts, flitches, boules (logs sawn through and kept together), and unusual pieces. Check for current inventory in that this changes on a day to day basis. In that we are loggers, if we don't have what you are looking for, we can probably find and process it for you.
